  This is a blue-ribbon site for upholstery! I chose the fabric from the large selection, and they picked up my hide-a-bed couch and childhood rocking chair about a month later. Here are the positives: --The nap goes the right way (velveteen polyester). --needle tension on seams was correct eliminating pucker. --the high density foam they offered was perfect for the seat cushions, reused original foam for back cushions. --back cushions stuffed to right proportions so as not to eliminate seating depth. --two toss pillows were made exactly as the ones they received, my request. --hide-a-bed deck was completely covered in same fabric as couch. --additional flap of fabric over deck so not visible under cushions. This was the fifth recovering of this furniture and the best, by far. The service was excellent. Liz helped me with the fabric selection answering all questions about durability and cleaning and gave me a reasonable time frame. The furniture was picked up on time and returned about a week later. John, Carlos and Rafael were careful when removing the couch to not damage or bang up walls. John, the owner, was especially helpful and reassuring when I had concerns. I would recommend By the Yard without hesitation.
